Tangled: Before Ever After* serves as the exciting animated bridge between the original hit movie and the hit animated television series. Following her triumphant return to the Kingdom of Corona, Rapunzel finds herself overwhelmed by royal duties and the smothering, protective rules enforced by her loving father, King Frederic. While she deeply loves her fiancé Eugene, Rapunzel feels unprepared to settle down into a quiet royal marriage without first discovering who she truly is.
Desperate for a taste of freedom, Rapunzel sneaks out of the castle walls during the night with her tough-as-nails lady-in-waiting, Cassandra. Their secret adventure leads them to mystical black rock spires that magically cause Rapunzel’s long golden hair to grow back instantly. Unable to cut or hide her enchanted locks, Rapunzel must navigate new mysteries while proving her capability as a future ruler.
