In a quiet coastal village in ancient Japan, a clever young boy named Kubo captivates locals by magically animating paper origami through the music of his shamisen. His peaceful lifestyle is shattered when he accidentally stays out past dark, summoning vengeful ancient spirits connected to his family’s mysterious past. Forced to flee, Kubo sets out on an extraordinary epic quest accompanied by a protective Monkey and a goofy Beetle warrior.
