Following a catastrophic helicopter crash deep inside the African wilderness, young John Greystoke Jr. loses his parents and is left entirely alone. Rescued and adopted by a gentle ape, he grows into the mighty jungle warrior Tarzan, mastering the dangerous terrain and living in harmony with nature.

Years later, ruthless CEO John Clayton takes over Greystoke Energies and sends a mercenary army into the jungle to locate a powerful cosmic energy source, threatening to destroy the delicate ecosystem. When environmental advocate Jane Porter arrives to study the wildlife, she meets Tarzan, and together they fight to defeat the mercenary forces and protect the wild sanctuary Tarzan calls home.
