The Willoughbys

Dive into a hilariously eccentric, stylized animated feature with The Willoughbys, based on the celebrated children’s book by Lois Lowry. The film follows four brilliantly imaginative siblings—Tim, Jane, and the creepy yet adorable twins Barnaby A and Barnaby B—who suffer under the utter neglect of their deeply selfish parents. Realizing they are far better off raising themselves, the crafty Willoughby children hatch a clever scheme to send their oblivious parents on a high-risk vacation, effectively tricking their way into becoming orphans. As they navigate the complexities of the modern world with their hilariously outdated, old-fashioned upbringing, the kids embark on a wild, globe-trotting adventure alongside an energetic nanny and a sweet candy maker. Packed with vibrant visual artistry, witty dark humor, and a touching core message about creating a chosen family, The Willoughbys is a refreshing modern animated gem.
